Oh So Hero! Act 1

Here's a brief rundown on the events of Oh So Hero! Act 1. Spoilers ahead!

NOTE: The terms west and east are sometimes used for left and right, respectively.

After a brief cutscene, your adventure starts in the Sheo Islands Beach, you’ll be controlling Joe The Dragon with your preferred input device. Refer to the Controls page if you need guidance on how to move. You start at the west side of the location and will make progress by walking towards the east.

You will need to defeat enemies, jump over a parked spaceship and even take care of a Gauntlet on top of it, before arriving at the Treewish Forest entrance, the location extends further than this entrance, but only goes so far as Jack will inform the player of a news van that’s blocking an entrance to another location.

On your way through the location, you will come by Ket a couple times, he’ll offer helpful tips about where to go and what your controls are, after it, he’ll give you the Auto-map. He’ll grant you this item even if you skipped him the first time he appeared.

Entering the Treewish Forest, the player is able to explore a section of the floor of the forest. To continue progressing, you’ll need to find and activate the elevators by interacting with the glory hole machines found throughout the location, you simply need to interact with these and watch Joe use them to activate an elevator that’ll let you explore more of the map.

On your first visit, you’re able to collect the Sensual Body paint and the Abacus, but you’ll find that half of the map is blocked off by unbreakable black blocks. With these in the way, the only way to progress is to take the exit to Southeast Beach.

Traversing through Southeast Beach is generally very easy, the entrance from Treewish forest starts you on the west side and you must make your way to Cas’s House on the east side. After hopping off the second ship, you have to ride a crane that’ll take you directly to it.

Once at his home, you can borrow the Ass Masters [Limited Edition] book that’ll teach you how to Butt stomp.

On your way back, instead of taking the crane again, you can also use your new ability to destroy a crate hiding behind the steel beams, this also opens up a path that you can take up to Cas’s House without needing the crane

Now that you know how to Butt stomp, use this new ability to get rid of the unbreakable black blocks in Treewish Forest, you’ll find the first set of these right after the first Goliath when backtracking to the west, this lets you access the rest of the location and find the two missing items: An Essence of Vitality and the Lono’e Natural Loob, then activate one last elevator that’ll let you traverse further to the east and into Brask’s Jungle.

Entering Brask’s Jungle, you’ll be able to find the Essence of Vim and the Leather Belt, but to continue progressing, you’ll need to find and activate three colored gems hidden throughout the location.

Once all gems are activated, a door at the end of the area will open, allowing you to continue. Just beyond it, two exits branch off to the east. One leads to Brask’s Palace, an optional location where you can meet Brask and obtain the Lazurlite Mirror. The other leads to the Forbidden Bayou.

Up next is the Forbidden Bayou, this is a tough location where enemy encounters start to ramp up in difficulty. You should be careful to keep the enemies in check with Special Attacks, know how to close in and fall back to avoid ranged attacks, and keep an eye on your HP and SP values. Around the middle of the location, you’ll find an entrance to the Hiroto Dojo, while you don’t need to visit this location right away. You may enter and obtain an item that’ll be useful later on. Proceeding forward, you’ll find an entrance to the Smol Beach near the eastmost end of the location, after it you’ll find Liath and Dyabal’s Cabin which you may optionally pay a visit.

Should you choose to visit Hiroto Dojo right away, you’ll be able to traverse the location until coming face to face to a locked door, with some platforms that’ll take you higher in the location right before it. Following this path you’ll eventually find the Hamill room which houses the Hiroto Dojo Key and the TheOne Cock Ring.

After collecting the items in this room, you can choose to traverse the Dojo’s roof to enter the east building from the top, yielding more rewards, or you can backtrack and use your newly acquired Hiroto Dojo Key to unlock the door to the East building. Inside it, you’ll find the Red Key Card.

This location only has two exits, one leads back to the Forbidden Bayou while the other leads you to the Dojo secret basement that contains a couple NPCs but is otherwise a dead end. You’ll need to head back to the Forbidden Bayou and continue onwards to the Smol Beach to continue progressing.

The Smol beach is a peaceful location where the player can take a breather, meet a couple new sexy friends, and even freshen up and prepare with the stock at Korko’s shop. Stopping here to buy something will let you carry on with your stats topped up if you buy the Spring Water, or even have a defense and lubricity buff if you choose to buy the Fruit soda.

Reaching this location will unlock a shortcut back to the Sheo Islands Beach now that the news van has gotten out of the way.

Once you decide you’ve spent enough time with the boys, you can take a bus at the east of the location to head into Lood City West Ave.

The Lood City West Ave. is a seriously tough location to traverse, as the enemies that are in this location are really nimble or really tough. Here you’ll need to find another Essence of vitality and encounter the many NPCs of the location by traversing the streets and taking springs to climb onto the scaffolding that looms over the location.

At the eastmost end of the location, the player should find the entrance into the Lood city park, however, it is initially blocked by Hamill who will request your help before letting you pass. He needs you to retrieve the Red Key Card from the Hiroto Dojo for him. You’ll need to backtrack back to the Forbidden Bayou and take its entrance there if you didn’t initially do so on your first visit.

After giving him the item, Hamill will be very grateful to you, and he’ll show that gratitude by allowing you to carry on to the Lood City Park as well as letting you have sex with him.

Your last stop is the Lood City Park where, on top of a warning that a cop is after you, you’ll encounter Act 1’s boss, Bates.

Don’t fret though, just before encountering him, you’ll find a ton of Chillpills and a Life Spring Aura, so you’ll enter the fight with your stats fully topped up.

As a tip, it might be helpful to head back to Korko’s shop and buy a Fruit soda so the buff will be active during the fight. Other than that, you may head to Bates’ character page where his attacks and a strategy are available for you to read.

Defeating Bates will award you with one last animation and the credits for Act 1 will start to roll. Congrats!
