Bates

Master Bates is a boss introduced in v0.20.002. He is currently in his beta state with some of his animations and cutscenes missing. However, he has most of his moves and the essence of what his boss fight is supposed to be.

Unlike Joe who superficially resembles a dragon, Bates is a tall and extremely muscular anthropomorphic dragon with red scales, expansive white horns, and large bat like wings which he can use to fly. His only clothing is a white kilt with embroidered edges and brown codpiece.

Bates can be encountered in Lood City's Park in front of the Fountain in the center. Conveniently, a Life Spring is placed next to the fountain for Joe to heal himself with before challenging Bates. Befitting of a boss, Bates has a massive pool of health and a wide array of abilities and characteristics that far surpass any other enemy in terms of power and challenge level.

The following are a list of Bates attacks:

In addition to the above moves, as Bates takes damage, he will enter not one, but two awakened states, enhancing some of his moves and gaining new ones:

- In addition to all the aforementioned moves, Bates possesses a large amount poise and cannot be defeated or even incapacitated by Joe's sexy taunts. Instead, upon reaching maximum lust, Bates takes more damage. When Bates' poise is broken, Joe can perform a combo to knock him down and fuck him causing him to take a decent chunk of damage. This amount is increased if Joe manages to max out his lust before knocking him down.

When fighting Bates, it should be noted that while many of his attacks are difficult to avoid, most of them do not do all that much damage. Joe can and should focus on whittling away his poise to knock him down and deplete his health more effectively. However, Bates' grapples, especially his Grapples against a swooned Joe do massive damage and increase lust at a remarkably fast rate.

v0.20.200 introduces a new move into Bates' repertoire: Fire Pellets. There are many different versions of the move and as the fight with Bates progresses, he will be able to switch between each pattern.

It is recommended to defeat Bates that you focus on hit and run tactics: After Bates' last attack try to perform Joe's normal combo on him as many times as possible, before retreating. If Bates falls down, fuck him. Do not attempt to attack him while he is performing his Taunt or Supernova since he cannot be knocked over while using them. Also, be careful of whether or not he is using Dragon's Rush or Dragon's Claw. While it may be tempting, it may not be wise to use Joe's Butt Stomp since positioning it over Bates may be difficult and the end lag may leave Joe vulnerable, especially since many of Bates' attacks are designed to hit Joe while he's in the air.
