**Pronunciation** on this wiki uses the [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Help:Pronunciation_respelling_key|Wikipedia pronunciation respelling key]]. This provides an easy means of understanding pronunciation without the need for weird symbols that nobody actually uses. The only exception is the [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schwa|schwa]] (ə), which is used for the first sound in the word "about".

As many of the character names are unique and could have multiple interpreted pronunciations, it's best to leave the addition of new pronunciations to [[staff]] to ensure this information is correct (or you can ask them). For example, most would assume Gatis is pronounced //GAY-tiss//, but it is actually pronounced //GAH-tiss//.
